Opening hours

Open Tuesday - Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Due to conversion of exhibitions, opening hours are adjusted. Below is an overview:

Monday, October 27 - Closed
Tuesday, October 28 - 50% discount
Wednesday, October 29 - 50% discount
Thursday, October 30 - 50% discount
Friday, October 31 - 50% discount
Saturday, November 1 - 50% discount
Sunday, November 2 - 50% discount

From October 28 to November 2, only the exhibition "I Went on a Holiday to the Country You Fled From" can be visited. The rest of the museum will be converted for World Press Photo 2025.

Special opening hours:
• Christmas Day (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM)
• Boxing Day (12:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

The museum is closed on:
• New Year's Day (January 1st)

You cannot reserve a ticket online but buy your ticket at the cashiers desk.

Public transport
The museum is a 10-minute walk from Hilversum Station. Plan a train or bus trip here. View the most up-to-date train information. You can rent a public transportation bicycle at the train station.

Car
By car, Museum Hilversum can be reached from all directions via the ring road. You follow the signs to Centrum. You can further plan your journey using the ANWB Route Planner.

Parking
Want to park your car? The Gooische Brink parking garage is indicated on the green parking signs. From the parking garage you exit directly onto the Kerkbrink and you are in front of the museum.

Bicycles
You can park your bicycle in the racks in front of or to the side of the museum. Parking outside of the designated spots is not allowed and can lead to fines.

Accessibility

Museum Hilversum is accessible with a wheelchair, walker or pram. The building has two elevators. The museum has wheelchairs available to borrow and a toilet accessible to disabled users. If you ring the bell downstairs you will be picked up and personally escorted to the museum desk.

For those who cannot move through the museum independently: a companion can come with you for free.
